“On the beach”, revisited

Recently, I’ve ventured into some experiments. While these explorations might not culminate in a published series, I’m enjoying the challenge they offer.

The idea sparked from Richard Misrach’s work, “On the Beach” which I admired greatly when I first began my photography journey. I’m adding a new contemporary look with textures of plastic debris found on the same beach.

A sort of swimmers’ Notice: attention, there is microplastic in the water.

Unfortunately, many summer tourists remain unaware of the significant amount of plastic and microplastic present in the sea. While they may find clean beaches and seemingly clear water, this doesn’t reflect the reality beneath the surface.

It’s true that winter storms often reveal the devastating impact of plastic pollution, washing massive amounts of debris ashore.
