Yesterday I did the first part of a job for a surf magazine about my friend and shaper Dr Ank.

Despite the freeze, we had a really good time and we both pushed quite a lot to get the best result as possible.

For the first time, I took a few strobes with me. Usually I just use available light to get “natural” result.

This time I tried with a few heads, trying to find a compromise between be as natural as possible and …some nice effect create by my own lighting.

As we are talking about a shaper, I focalize on lines… using the white foam of the board to built geometry in the frame.

I haven’t edited the pictures yet but from a first look, I saw already many good ones.

I just publish one of the first, I’m looking forward to edit the rest and to do the second part of the job.
